While on a twenty-seven mile jet ski tour of Key West, FL (thank you Barefoot Billy's), one of the guides mentioned a restaurant on its own little key that can be reached by ferry. After a quick Google session and an Open Table reservation for Latitudes Restaurant @ the Westin Hotel, we were set for a 7:15 PM departure to Sunset Key. Our table had a fantastic view; we were seated on the patio overlooking the private beach with tiki torches all around. Sunset Key lived up to its name and was definitely worth the look.

Bear Mountain's Oktoberfest was the intent of this visit, but that all turned south when the entrances to the festival were barricaded off and the park wasn't letting anyone else in. Instead, Kim and I hiked a bit, pulled 20 ticks off the two dogs, and found a hidden gem about 20 feet below the road down a steep man-made, loose-rock aqueduct.
